TESTIMONIALS

Hi Kerry:  We had an uneventful trip home.  Mindy staying lying down the whole way.  She was quiet, but she drooled a bucketful.  It was obvious she was a little anxious.  But she hasn't drooled since she got home.

What a great dog!  She is everything I wanted.  When I take her for walks (we have a very long driveway through the woods) she trots ahead no more than twenty feet (lapping from every puddle) and then runs back to me.  We have started our leash work and she is learning to walk beside me even though I am still walking very slowly.  She is learning to sit and stay before going through the door.

We had an interesting time with the stairs.  We had to half drag her up while she cried.  Going down was worse.  One time she wanted to go down and she practically hurled herself down.  So this morning, I grabbed her collar and sat on the top step.  Then I made her sit, while I scooted down and sat on the next step.  I lifted her front feet down and held her until she relaxed.  Then we did another step and another until we got to the bottom.  After going outside to pee, we did the same thing on the basement stairs so she could go down to her kennel to eat.  After that, she had it figured out.  She goes up and down one step at a time on her own. She likes to be with us.

In the house, she hangs out on her bed in the living room, but usually follows me when I go somewhere else.  I vacuumed today, and she was interested but not at all afraid of the vacuum.

So far, we are extremely pleased with her.  She is just what I was hoping for.  And such a beautiful dog!

I am looking forward to receiving Shady's pedigree.

Thanks so much,

Barbara

Hi Kerry-    12/27/2007

I just wanted to give you a quick Xena update. It was a bit of a rough ride home for her. She threw up within five minutes of being in the car, once again a half an hour later, and again when we pulled in our driveway. Poor girl. (I am sure that none of the worming medication stayed in her, so we will probably have to get another dose tomorrow at the vet.) Once we got in the house, and she had some time to settle in, her thirst and appetite kicked in and she started feeling better. She was pretty tentative at first, but today she is much more adventurous and playful.
The first night went great. She went right to sleep at about 11:15 when we went to bed. At about 4:00 am, she stirred and whimpered slightly. I let her out and she peed right away. When we got back inside she went back to sleep and was fine until 7:00 when Drew got up with her. She did not whimper or whine at all last night.
So far, no accidents. She consistently goes to the door and whimpers when she wants to go out. As soon as she gets to the cedar chips, she does her business immediately. Whatever you did with her got her well on her way to being housetrained. Thank you.
She is such a bright dog and already responds to her name. We are having lots of fun. Thanks so much for everything. We will keep you posted on her progress.
Take care,
Cynthia

Hi Kerry,

I hope you remember us. I bought one
of Keisha/Striker's pups from their Sept.
05 litter. I've taken my dog Kyra to
several events and have spoken to you
a few times including at the May Elma
show and I thought you might like to
hear that Kyra earned her UKC
championship in just two weekends
including a group one. I attached the
picture below.

I saw that there is an International show in October in Enumclaw so I'll enter her in that as well. I also have her entered for her ATTS TT in September in Shelton. Until then she's UKC CH Sajjadi Farms Kyra of Lor Nor CGC TC HCT HIC. I also plan to work on Agility titles and eventually, when she's matured and calmed down more, obedience titles.

Anyway, I thought you might like to hear since you have Keisha back. I'll let Gina know as well, she might like to hear that one of Striker's pups is doing so well.

We really adore Kyra. She's incredibly smart and has done really well in everything we've tried.

Hope all is well,
Dani Adams and Kyra

Hi Kerry, it has been so long since I have corresponded with you. My 9 year old son and I came to you in August 1998 and purchased the best from you. He was the J litter and was 11 weeks old. He had been named Jack and we just changed the spelling. We ADORED Jach and he was a part of our family. He loved, played, guarded, protected and grew up with my  3 children from the oldest who was 9 to the 'baby' who was 2 and a half.

On Sunday morning December 31, 2006 we had to rush him to the after hours emergency center where the vet told us that Jachs stomach had twisted and his organs were beginning to shut down. This was the saddest day of our life. My 18 year old son who came with me to pick out Jach in 1998, had just been home from college for 2 weeks and I watched as he fell to the floor in grief after we held Jach and as he took his last breath. This has truly devastated our family and we are in deep mourning. I thank God that my son got to see Jach for the last time, I don't know how I could have told him of his death if he had been away.

Kerry, I just wanted to let you know how much joy that Jach brought us and there is no other person I can thank but you for your love and care of the German Shepherds that you have bred over the years. I immediately searched for your site, praying that you were still doing this great passion of yours. There is no other place that we will go when it is time to bring another pup into our lives and home. Jach can never be replaced, and will never be forgotten. Thank you so much.

Hi Kerry,

Dylan is perfect!!  We love him – he is so smart and POTTY Trained already!  He is also good with the 3.4 pound papillon and gently plays with her.  Dylan and little Jasmine are taking beginner puppy classes with a friend of my brother-in-law who taught Seattle PD K-9s.  He teaches our beginner class and was willing to meet at my brother-in-law’s house (we have four puppies in our class – my brother-in-law’s 2 rottweiler/lab mixes and our 2).  We are taking all 4 dogs on a trip together in September.

I am hoping to start Dylan on the first leg of his obedience title this winter.  Do you know which show I should take him to?  Can you send me his AKC registration so I can get his papers for his entrance?

We really appreciate how well he was socialized and potty trained before we took him home!

Thanks -- Erika

Hi Kerry,
We're going great over here with our little pup!  He just wakes up once in the night to go potty.  He promptly goes when I take him outside.  He's doing a lot of nipping and biting, so we're working on that right now.
We'd agreed on Monday that you would board him for us this weekend and we're still planning on that.  We were hoping to bring him over Friday morning at about 10am as we need to get an early start to Bellingham.  We would pick him up Monday morning.  Hopefully this plan will still work for you.  We'll bring you the rest of the money for him in cash.
Thanks.

We just adore our 5 month old puppy. Her name is Bella Rose and she is very quiet, gentle and smart! We have her as a family dog and she has met and exceeded all our expectations. Thank you for letting us "adopt" her as our own.

Hi Kerry,
Just a couple lines tonight to let you know everything is going along great.  On the ride home Tala slept most of the way.  I think the car's motion just lulled him to sleep.  Housebreaking should be very easy.  Now all I have to do is sit him on the wet grass and he piddles and/or poops right away.  How easy can you get?  The cedar shavings will not be necessary at all.  He is lying by my feet as I write this.  On Monday & Tuesday he was quite cautious. Today he is gaining more confidence & getting adventuresome.  That's about all the news for now.  We will keep in touch.

Greetings Kerry,

You may remember us, we are the proud owners of 2-year old "Heidi"; our beautiful puppy born October 7, 2003 from the Buck/Lonna litter.  We just wanted to send an update on how she's doing.  We moved to Alaska a year and a half ago and Heidi is thriving.  She loves the outdoors and the cold weather.  She is Jay's best fishing and hiking buddy, and has alerted him to several bears in the area.  And of course, Shon never goes on a walk without her.  She is truly our best friend and the best dog we could've ever hoped for.  With Jay being in the military, Heidi provides the extra protection and security that Shon needs when Jay is away on orders.  We constantly get compliments on how beautiful she is everywhere we take her and we love to show her off!  In June of 2005, we welcomed the birth of our son, Scott, and we couldn't believe how many people asked us what we planned on doing with our dog once the baby came along.  WHAT?!?!  The thought never crossed our minds of "getting rid" of her.  She is part of our family, in fact, we consider her our "first" baby and we researched how to make the transition of bringing home baby easier on Heidi.  We'd even play a CD of baby noises for her every day before leaving for work so she'd get used to the sounds.  It amazed us at how her protective instincts kicked in the instant we brought Scott home; she has never shown any ill will toward him, just curiosity.  Sometimes we find her sleeping in his nursery!  She's always quick to put herself between the baby and any stranger that comes along.  She is the best dog ever, a true companion, and we hope that she and our son will grow to be best friends as well.

Sincerely,
Jay, Shon & Scotty Wahrmund
